A new recording arrives
An audio or video file lands in your chosen cloud folder. Your enabled Zap picks it up and sends the downloadable recording to us.
FreeTranscription.AI + Zapier
A recording arrives in one app. We automatically turn it into text. The transcript goes to another app—ready for your team to read, share, and use.
Less downloading. Less copying. No coding required.

Your favorite apps are just the beginning
Explore thousands of apps on Zapier. Bring recordings from a supported source, then put the words to work in documents, team chats, project tools, and customer systems.
These are apps in Zapier’s ecosystem, not a promise that every app can supply recordings or accept every result. Available workflows depend on each app’s supported actions, permissions, and plan. Select an app to explore its options.

You choose the apps. Zapier handles the handoff. FreeTranscription.AI handles the transcription.
An audio or video file lands in your chosen cloud folder. Your enabled Zap picks it up and sends the downloadable recording to us.
FreeTranscription.AI processes the recording. Once the transcript is ready, the workflow continues with the finished result.
Your chosen app saves a document, creates a page, or receives a message. The next new recording follows the same routine.
Picture your next recording
Three examples of what you can build. Each starts with a recording and ends with the words in a different app.
Keep a written record your team can read, search, and refer back to.
Follow this setup guide →Bring interview transcripts into the same workspace as your research.
Explore Notion actions on Zapier ↗Let teammates read a short update without listening to the whole recording.
Explore Slack actions on Zapier ↗Workflow examples, not preinstalled Zaps. Connect your accounts and test before switching on. Source files need an accessible download link; destination text limits apply. OneDrive requires a supported Business or Enterprise account. Longer transcripts may need a document rather than a chat message.
More useful words. Less repetitive work.
From the first file to the final handoff, build a routine around the way your team already works.
Set up your workflow once. New recordings in the selected folder start the same process without another manual submission.
Turn speech from meetings, interviews, podcasts, and video recordings into text that is easier to scan and reuse.
Choose written transcript output or SRT captions for your next step. Send the result to an app that supports the format you need.
Enable speaker identification or word timestamps for supported output fields. Choose what to pass into the next app.
Save a document, add a workspace page, or share a short transcript in team chat. Pick the destination that fits the job.
Add supported Zapier steps to notify teammates, update a project, or organize customer records. More steps may need a different plan.

A few helpful answers
For help with Zapier screens or your Zap, contact Zapier Support ↗.
No. Choose apps, connect your accounts, and select fields using Zapier’s buttons and menus. Our dashboard gives you instructions for your chosen workflow.
Yes—explore Zapier’s app directory for more options. The source must provide a downloadable recording, and the destination must support an action that accepts your result. Not every app can do both. Your account permissions, app limits, and Zapier plan also apply.
Transcription uses your FreeTranscription.AI Pay-As-You-Go balance, separate from website subscriptions. See API pricing. Zapier bills separately: the three-step examples here need a plan or trial that supports multi-step Zaps, not the Free plan. Check Zapier plans.
The guide shows you how to select the recording’s name from the first app when naming the saved document. When that app provides the name, you can keep it and add “Transcript”.
Use only recordings you are allowed to process. Connect the source app in Zapier and select a download link that our API can access without a login. Do not make sensitive files public just to complete setup; if your sharing policy blocks the connection, ask your administrator or Zapier Support.
